I love strength training and all the benefits that come with it.
It is important to feel like you are progressing forward.
Training is not just about the body it is about the mind as well.
No one is watching you, everyone is in their own world worried about themselves.
Stay in your own lane.
Social pressure can stop you achieving what you want.
You don’t have to do what everyone else is doing.
It is about being disciplined to achieve what you want.
Community is simply like attracts like.
It takes 4 weeks for you to see a change, 8 weeks for friends and family and 12 weeks for it to be noticed by everyone.
Get curious, find a desire to learn more.
Everything you put in your mouth has an effect.
The gym is for strength. Walking or running is your ardio for cardio vascular fitness.
What gets measured gets managed.
Don’t give up, be mindful of your nutrition.
Age is not a barrier or excuse.
Read the 5 second rule by Mel Robbins.
You may not always win, remember the journey is yours.
Scales are a great metric.
Pressure is a privilege.
