By prioritising foundational nutritional repletion and clinical reasoning, she helps patients navigate the physiological and emotional layers of long-term illness.

Her work is dedicated to those who have tried the “standard” path and found themselves pushed in the wrong direction, particularly women navigating the systemic transitions and multi-layered presentations of pre-perimenopause and beyond. Melissa guides her patients back to a state of physiological resilience through deep clinical expertise and an investigative approach that translates the body’s complex symptoms into a clear, strategic path forward.

Her definition of Self Love is: Self love is internalised self-agency, it is an act of like mental sovereignty. It is about acknowledging that micro mother within. So it is metacognition. The gap between a thought and reaction. Pivoting above and observing, thinking, it is the act of thinking of thinking. If you have the capacity to see yourself perceiving a situation, you can actually mediate or resolve that situation before it actually enlists a physiological response.

What actually sparks your soul?
If you feel good about yourself, you are going to reflect a better perspective of self.
I think we transition into a mother tree. They store energy, wisdom, support and memories.
It has to be social media. It is in our face every single day.
It would be challenging for someone who hasn’t had a chance to even mature and get to know who she is to be able to say I don’t want to look like that.
If intuition is a guide, metacognition is the guardian.
Self love is regulating yourself to a point where you can actually moderate it before it actually starts to affect.
I am so against the narrative, we are not like computers. It is so innately complex the reason why we gain weight.
It is an unwavering trust in yourself that you get up and bet on yourself.
Question everything.
Common is not a synonym for normal.
If you do not feel okay in your body, something is not okay.
Trust yourself.
