In Episode 14 of The Real Food Reel we are joined by Katie King from The Balanced Nutritionist. Katie has a Advanced Diploma in Nutritional Medicine and is a ultra runner, who combined her career and passion by assisting a group of 25 runners across Australia and NZ in the lead up to February’s Tarawera ultra.
This group quickly evolved into a self-directed study, with 2 elites athletes joining Katie’s team, which became known as the Tarawera JERF study.
Today on the reel we learn more about this study and share the successes of the athletes who took a real food and unconventional sports nutrition approach.
