YEL 056: What’s more Important – Movement or Food?
27, Nov, 2019
Today I share the latest from my book writing process relating to the power of movement.
This book is taking a considerable amount of time, but it’s so worth it. Two hours were spent today getting two pages put together. It’s requiring that I make some adjustments to my deadlines. 😬😆
Do you walk 1.6km in 17 minutes? I didn’t accomplish that today. I was talking to Guy Lawrence and measured. I think I did 1.4k in 19 minutes. Granted I was strolling.
“If you’re 80 years old and you can walk a mile (1.6km) in under 17 minutes it adds about six years to your life expectancy. Just the act of walking!” – Ben Leedle, Blue Zones.
I went for 2 x 20 minute 🚶🏻♂️ today and did NOT walk a mile in 17 minutes.
How long does it take you to walk 1.6k? we could be talking 6 good years of life!
Social – Great chats with @Damian Kristof, @Guy Lawrence, @Brett Hill. A great 📞 call can be very uplifting.
Nutrition – Didn’t eat lunch today 🍏… not missing it. But some days I am ravenous! You don’t have to ALWAYS fast – you can decide not to eat when you are not hungry.
Love & Relationships – Kids off school today. Not much else to report!
Growth – Einstein is DONE! Time to assimilate – refusing the urge to go straight into Picasso. I mentioned here the great 📚 Mastery by @Robert Greene.
Wealth – Cultivate the daily practice of spending to budget or less. I discussed planning for the unexpected financially (Sarah had a prang) and mentioned the book How To Make One Hell of a Profit and still get to Heaven by @Dr John Demartini, where I first read about Unexpecteds.
Spirit – Writing the script of life. ALL Bets are off – the canvas is BLANK. Add in only what works. Very good for the soul … This is a great time of the year to take some quiet time to reflect on your year and look ahead to 2020.
Finally, I opened up a special delivery! My last ever order of Forage Cereal arrived! There’s still a few more remaining bags left if you don’t have yours!
