RMP 24: Imogen Bailey on Sacred Women’s Circles and the Art of Holding Space

This week’s guest, Imogen Bailey from Honouring Heart is a breath of fresh air and an absolute pleasure to know and chat with. Imogen runs the weekly women’s circle that I attend at my local yoga studio, has trained me in women’s circle facilitation and has become a mentor of sorts to me over this time. She is also one of the most genuine, supportive, kind and caring humans one could meet. Imogen is trained in the art of holding space and has had a colourful variety of life experiences that have brought her to the path of her work in supporting women holistically through life transitions. This is such a valuable and powerful conversation that I absolutely adored.

In this episode we discuss:

  • The life purpose concept of “jackhammers” and “hummingbirds” (as discussed in Elizabeth Gilbert’s Super Soul Sunday talk – The Curiosity-Driven life – see below link)
  • Sacred women’s circles (and non-specific gender gatherings as a way to connect, support and be with community)
  • The art of holding space
  • Birth and end of life doulas. What are they? Why are they important?
  • Lots more!
