Cliff and I explore two specific publications, “Medium chain triglyceride supplementation increases postprandial ketone bodies in a dose dependent manner” and “WHO draft guidelines on dietary saturated and trans fatty acids: time for a new approach?”. You will learn everything from MCT dosage and how this is being studied to reverse the impacts of Alzheimer’s Disease, how the brain can thrive on an alternative fuel to glucose and how when we look at the true effect of saturated fat on all-cause mortality outcomes, there is no data, yet our Australian guidelines are still not reflecting this.
